Is being average okay with you?
Is being average okay with you?
We often forget that we can become more than our current selves. With belief and consistent work, 12 months can positively change your whole life trajectory. Most don't remind themselves of this, though. Lack of conscious thought easily leads to complacency, which is mediocrity's best friend.
Overcome your average nature to live a life of purpose. The fuel for the fight is hope. We've got to have hope if the present moment is to give us any satisfaction in the pursuit of life. The answer lies somewhere in finding the minimum standards we set for ourselves.
I periodically ask myself: "What unrelenting standards do you have?" Above-average standards are the precursor to a better life.
I've helped hundreds change their lives over the years. I noticed successful ones share this: They're deeply unhappy. They don't want to continue on their life path. They're willing to rewire themselves and learn a new way to see the world. When suffering isn't worthwhile, we become sad and depressed. They came to my company because they wanted help finding themselves again. They wanted to meet the standards they set.
Our suffering isn't always in our control, but how we react to it is. Don't forget it only takes 12 months of work for life-changing results. Who will you choose to become?
